Kazakh Russian Medical University 

The Kazakh Russian Medical University is one of the largest private universities in the country (state license AB 0026246), has passed state certification four times (1998, 2003, 2007, 2012) and issues a state diploma. Our story began in 1992, in the wake of major political and economic transformations, where the reform of science and higher education was given an important place. It was at that time that the academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the president of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the International Association of Surgeons, the People’s Hero of Kazakhstan – Mukhtar Alievich Aliyev, together with Professor Maskev K. and associate professors Golubchenko V.S. and Panova O.A. founded one of the first private universities in the CIS. Then it became known as the Kazakhstan Medical Institute (KMI). Later, in 2010, the university was renamed as the Kazakh Russian Medical University.

Enhancing Higher Medical Education at Kazakh Russian Medical University

The university’s educational program aligns with the state standard of education and has successfully tested new teaching methods and forms to enhance higher medical education in the Republic. With over 200 teachers, including renowned doctors and prominent Kazakhstani and international scientists, the educational process is enriched. Students can participate in academic mobility programs for training and internships abroad. The training is available through both contractual agreements and State educational grants. With small academic groups of 6-10 students, individualized attention is prioritized. Students have the freedom to choose between the state language or Russian as their language of instruction, and foreign language studies begin intensively from the first year. Practical training in specialized clinical disciplines takes place at leading medical centers in Almaty.

Strengthening Healthcare in Kazakhstan: Global Recognition and Partnerships

In the framework of the President’s Address to the people of Kazakhstan “New Kazakhstan in the New World” and in the context of the strategic development of healthcare until 2020, the University created Mobile Medical Complexes with the support of the “Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation” and the Asar Bereke Public Fund health care to the rural population of Kazakhstan. There is a school of doctors of the PMK and an educational and practical center for mobile medicine.

Collaborative Initiatives and Student Engagement at Kazakh Russian Medical University

Organized joint research activities, the creation of joint educational programs, research in the field of genetics, epidemiology, regenerative medicine, maternal and child health. The programs of academic mobility of interns and residents, internships for teachers, doctors, continuous postgraduate education, the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of oncology, endocrinology, rehabilitation, pediatrics are being implemented.

The Kazakh Russian Medical University in all its activities is based on the principle of building a culture that gives students primary attention. The Youth Affairs Committee advises and supports students in their endeavors to make the educational experience as successful as possible.

  • Student must be 17 years old .
  • Student has passed 12th examination with PCB stream with minimum 60% of marks.
